This week Jesus teaches us to be bold and persistent in prayer.  He talks about grace and about the attitude we should have as we approach God.  Finally, he will remind us that his earthly ministry was always meant to end at the cross.

  • The Book of Acts

    Pentecost or Shavuoth was a Holiday of Harvest. It signified the end of Israel’s harvest season.  Spiritually, at this point, Israel’s harvest season is coming to an end and the Church is being born.

  • It is the night before Jesus is crucified.  Christ is fulfilling the role of a high priest by interceding for his followers – both in prayer and by then going to the cross.  He prays for both the disciples that were with him and future disciples like us.
