The Resurrection is the story that defines our faith. It is the event that sets Jesus apart from other teachers, prophets or religious leaders. It is the fact that transformed Christ’s disciples.

We started looking at the Rapture of the Church a couple of weeks ago. This is the second part of that series. Next week there will be another one to complete our look at this highly relevant topic.

The German scholar Rudolf Bultmann left an interesting legacy on the pages of 20th Century theology. He once actually said: “If the bones of the dead Jesus were discovered tomorrow in a Palestinian tomb, all the essentials of Christianity would remain unchanged.” The writers of the gospels would disagree.
