Some of us have grown accustomed to thinking in terms of “Bible stories” – as in, the Bible is a collection of stories. That may be true at one level. At another level it is helpful to think in terms of “the Bible story,” that is, one continuous storyline from Genesis to Revelation.
Certain jobs are never quite completed. For example: Cleaning, cutting the grass, washing Clothes, add your (least) favorite routine item here. Christ came to this earth on a mission. He finished the job. Our redemption is complete.
The Nature of the Dispute:
We recently refinanced our house. The old contract expired, the new contract is now signed, so the new terms are in effect. God promised long ago that He would enter into a New Covenant or new agreement with Israel, which He has initiated through Jesus Christ, and which we may enter into today.
