As Christ nears the end of his earthly ministry, he exposes the nonsense of religious hypocrisy. The Seven Woes in this message contrast sharply with the Beatitudes in Matthew 5.
During the week leading up to the crucifixion, Jesus tells some parables and fields questions designed to test him. In the end he asks a question which discourages further such tests.
Jesus tells a parable about rewards which leads to some surprises. Then he once again foretells his death and resurrection. He also gives his disciples a lesson on greatness.
