This evening we got together again for Week 4 of 12 in our “Make Disciples.” series. Below you will find links to an overview of the full 12 weeks and for the fourth area on the map, Embracing God’s Story: Christian Community.
During the 12 weeks, we are addressing areas on a comprehensive discipleship map. After discussing each area, we will try to establish Milestones that would provide evidence of personal spiritual growth – markers that we work toward.
The Letters of Paul
Romans begins by introducing us to the concept of grace. Much more follows from there, but grace is where it all starts.

In a time and culture in which love has come to mean any fuzzily defined positive feeling, John’s healthy focus on the truth is a welcome change. There is such a thing as truth and we find it in Jesus. There are also swindlers who have gone out into the world, who deny some basic doctrines about Christ. John calls them deceivers and antichrists.
We don’t have to look very hard in the Bible to find warnings about spiritual deception. Several of them come out of the mouth of Jesus. For example, Matthew 24:11, “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.”
