This chapter will give us one more peek into the wonders of our eternal home. That is followed by several promises that Jesus is coming quickly!
In Revelation 20:11 John saw heaven and earth flee from the presence of Christ on the Great White Throne. A newly created universe will provide the environment in which the Lord will dwell among the redeemed forever.

The Old Testament prophets foretold a time when Messiah would reign over a world full of peace and prosperity. This would be a time when even the nature of animals would be changed and the wolf and lamb would dwell together. The Messianic kingdom is still to come and is often referred to as the Millennium.
